Lucinda Parker at Laura Russo

Yesterday Lucinda Parker and I made a short video about her present show up at the Laura Russo Gallery, which opens tonight. For the past year she has been working on a public art project, a mural for the Lower Columbia College in Longview, Washington (sponsored by the Washington State Arts Commission). Studies for the mural are at the show, which opens tonight, plus some new big paintings too.

Eva ,

you have become the resident chronicler! I know that your interviews served the same purpose but I think these videos are great. You have really fair and unbiased sensibility which I really appreciate.

Lucinda's work is so amazingly worked as well as easy to place. When I worked at Microsoft as the installer of the art collection, her work was always easy to put up. Standard eyes are seduced by her brush strokes, a rare gift these days. She was of so many works I dealt with, a joy to place, I just wished at times that the collection had more of her work.
