This Tuesday my guest on Art Focus will be Michael Brophy, who has a show opening at Laura Russo. There are big oil paintings and small square gouaches. Brophy's house + studio were destroyed in a fire - some of the work is about that.

When I try to download your KBOO podcasts on iTunes it only lets me hear the first minute or so, then cuts out... Am I the only one having trouble getting these?
Hi asmithgarofano... getting back to you... a new webmaster is coming to KBOO and will address that issue. It may take some time though. We have not heard of others having the same problem though...
I went back through and found that there were only a handful with this issue (Eric Stotik and Gilley&Rose for example). All of the casts in May and June seem to work just fine... so it might not be a problem anymore. And if I'm the only one, then it was more likely an operator error :)
This is fantastic... Can you communicate to the artist and actually to anyone listening to your show to submit work to a NYC exhibition entitled
A BOOK ABOUT DEATH.
I'm organizing it here from Paris. The exhibition opens September 10, 2009 at The Emily Harvey Foundation Gallery, 537 Broadway. It's a gallery with deep roots in Fluxus, but this exhibition is open to anyone – no jury, all works accepted. See the blog for all details:

Hi, thanks for letting me know there's a problem. I hadn't heard that before but when I go in tomorrow, I'll ask my producer + get back to you here.
