Stephen O'Donnell on KBOO

This coming Tuesday (December 8th) Stephen O'Donnell will be my guest on Art Focus. His show at Froelick is called Dix Huit. Stephen (sometimes) riffs on gender bending via the historical portrait.

great chest hairs... I'm so amazed by that.. and fields of grass in paintings.. a wonderful interview on the radio.. I am wondering who he was singing with in San Francisco in the early 80's.. I don't remember him at the club foot.. I'm wondering if he was an opera singer that I canvased when working for the abalone alinance.. really love his paintings (what I have seen) and his banter.. thanks eva

Thanks, nod! I'm sure both of you were way, way too cool to have come across any of my SF vocalizing. I performed pretty much only in the cabaret scene: showtunes, some pop balads, followed by some more showtunes. Pretty cheesy it seems, when I happen to listen to the old cassettes. The archives. Oh, how terribly special I thought I was....

Hey you never know. I remember going to some cabaret theatre with Ray Tillotson in the early 80s. Maybe we never saw you but I'll bet we went to some of the same clubs....
