I am sad to hear that Fontanelle will be closing at the end of the month. That gallery provided fodder for KBOO more than once - with coverage of their Lesbian Art Show, the Queer Gaze and Mark Warren Jacques' Big Beautiful Color (see image above). Something tells me this is not the last of Leslie Miller, who curated good shows with a savvy zest and spunk. Fontanelle completely erased the ghosts of galleries past from that space too, something I can attest to as not being easy. As to Big Beautiful Color, Mark made signs for this exhibition, as if we were all either in protest or revolution. I still have one in my studio, reminding me as I paint.
