CAP Auction

Tomorrow night is the highly anticipated CAP Auction, in which one organization brings in about half a million dollars towards their mission To prevent HIV infections, support and empower people affected and infected by HIV/AIDS, and eliminate HIV/AIDS stigma. Last year I was the Art Narrator of the live auction and I look forward to doing it again tomorrow night.

Hello, I'm Janice Laverne Baker, 59 year old artist who just stopped working (finally) so I can paint full time. I saw you video on Crow's Shadow and thought "this woman knows a lot". Plus I loved the prints and your work on this blog. I'm being bold and asking if you'd mind looking at my work: www.janicelaverne.blogspot.com and any feedback you have would be helpful. I can be reached via email at janicelv52@gmail.com Thanks so much!

Hi Janice,

Thanks so much for reading and leaving a comment. I am not a very good critic though. It's one thing to interview - that role is advocacy for the most part, not critique... but as an artist I find it really tough to tell anyone "This is what works and this doesn't."

Just keep doing it. That's all I can say and be absolutely sure about. And help others along the way - karma works.
